Is my donation tax
deductible? Yes. Angels of Hope is a service project of Heartlight Center, a
501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
How much of my donation goes
to actually making and sending out the Angels? 100% of all donations from
the community are used solely to make and send out the Angels. All other needs
of the program are provided through in-kind donations, fundraising events
including our Annual Garage Sale, Silent Auction, and Bake Sale, and volunteer
services. We hope soon to also have grant funding to cover some of them.
Where do the Angels go?
Angels of Hope are currently in nursing homes, children’s hospitals, Ronald
McDonald Houses, rehabilitation centers, veterans’ hospitals, hospice houses,
homeless shelters, and other facilities where people really need the touch of an
Angel. They are currently in every state and the District of Columbia.
Does the facility have to
pay anything to have an Angel of Hope? No. Angels of Hope are sent at no
cost whatsoever to the facility.
Can I donate an Angel to a
specific place? Yes. For every $40 that is donated, a person can select the
facility to receive the Angel of Hope. The facility will receive a card along
with the Angel, telling them that it is a gift, and who donated it.

How can the Angels be
memorial gifts? For each donation of at least $40, a person can request an
Angel be sent to a specific facility in memory of anyone they wish. A card will
go to the facility indicating that the Angel was donated from you, and in whose
memory it is being sent. If this is a gift for someone else, (ie. a surviving
spouse or other family member,) a gift card is sent to them informing them that
the Angel of Hope has been sent in their name to the facility, as well as the
card going to the facility.

of Hope? Donations can be made by check or money order paid to Angels of
Hope, and mailed to Angels of Hope, 67138 Shimmel Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091, or you

Do you accept donations for
your fundraisers? Yes. We accept donations of new and like-new items that
can be sold through our Garage Sale and Silent Auction. It is helpful to know
the value of the items donated. Receipts are available for the value of your
